Singing the Bones

Because the universe is precision. It looks to the untrained eye as chaos and questions, but perception is a matter of which angle, which lens, which direction is your gaze. Our life on this planet, our bodies themselves, are held on the intricate proportions of density, gravity, pressure. We forget how pressure is an agent of life. And that we are sculpted by it, constantly.

And this pressure gives shape, structure — so that life can continue to conduct itself. That pressure also gives the necessary cycles of death, decay and listening through deep time. This is what we can access through Visionary Somatics. A profound listening to the bodies mythic symbology and vibrational structure.

Because what carries us through each and every devastating remaking of ourselves? Song. Yes, I mean this quite literally.

Harmonics, cymatics and geometries of the body are what governs my world and my work. As I have felt directly, in my intimate working with plant medicine and biodelic states, how the body itself is an instrument. And most of ‘healing’ is about tuning that instrument back into a state of structural integrity so the energy systems can flow.

Sounding allows us to remain in body while processes intense experiences — vibrationally and directly through the vagus nerve, spinal nerve clusters and tri-body diaphragms. When we understand this, it is quite easy to see how breath and song are the core mechanisms of the expressive antidote to depressive, compressed and contracted states of shallow breathing, restricted energy pathways and the blocks — of space.

Your voice, is braided between the bellows of lungs and their grief bearing, boundary holding sanctuaries, the nodal point of the solar plexus which aches with power and all the abandoned innocence we hold. And this roots within the pelvic diaphragm that cradles, opens and surges the full body voice.
